KARACHI – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) anticipates predominantly cold and dry weather in Karachi, Hyderabad, and most regions of Sindh over the next two days. Due to the prevailing continental air in most parts of Pakistan, the synoptic situation indicates an expectation of mainly cold and dry conditions in Sindh, including Karachi and Hyderabad, from Monday night through Wednesday. Fog and smog are likely to persist in Jacobabad, Mohenjo-Daro, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki, Khairpur, and Padidan during both morning and night hours. The minimum temperature in Karachi is projected to hover between 13-15 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and Wednesday, while in Hyderabad, temperatures are expected to range between 10-12 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 11-13 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. Over the past 24 hours, Sindh experienced prevailing cold and dry weather. Upper districts faced persistent fog, causing disruptions to normal vehicular movement from late night to early morning. Mohenjo-Daro and Mithi emerged as the coldest locations in Sindh, with temperatures dropping to 06 degrees Celsius in Mohenjo-Daro. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 100 per cent in Mohenjo-Daro and 68 per cent in Mithi. In Karachi, the minimum temperature recorded was 14 degrees Celsius, with a relative humidity of 58 per cent in the evening. Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, the minimum temperature recorded was 12 degrees Celsius, accompanied by a relative humidity of 77 per cent in the evening.
